KENYA TRAINING CAMP
Join us for a week in beautiful Iten, Kenya, for the My Olympic Coach 2022 High Altitude Training Camp. For this camp, we are planning to bring a group of 10 athletes who wish to live the experience of living and training like Kenyans.
Because our last camp held in September of 2021 was a total success, we want to repeat the experience. We gathered 6 athletes from all over the world and spent a week running in Iten and its vicinity, learning from our Kenyan team new ways of training and recovering. We hope this camp will be just as incredible as the previous one, and we are excited to be able to share this experience with you.

Where
The camp will take place in Iten, Kenya, a town located about 7hrs from the capital Nairobi. Iten is one of the running meccas of the world and is known as the "Home of Champions". It's known for its beautiful scenery and its unique, powerful running culture . Once you travel to Nairobi, you will need to reserve a second flight to Eldoret, the closest airport to Iten. We will be picking you up from Eldoret Airport and drive you to our camp location, the HATC (High Altitude Training Center) in Iten.
When
The camp will take place from March 25th, 2022 to April 1st, 2022, and will be one full week.
Coaches
The Altitude Training Camp in Iten will be lead by coach Luis Orta, for activities such as: mobility, stretching, warm up, cool down, running form, strides, drills, race strategy, mental strength and much more. We will also count with the talented Kenyan pacing team who will be there to teach us during our learning and mobility sessions.
CAMP ACTIVITIES
For the duration of the camp, we will be doing a total of two running sessions a day. That will include easy/recovery runs, track workouts, stretch and mobility sessions, one medium long run, and one long run. We will meet early in the mornings for the first run of the day, and will have the second one in the afternoon.
Each runner in the camp will have his/her own assigned designated Kenyan pacer for the duration of the week. This will also be a good opportunity to learn as much as possible from your pacer. Other camp activities include a Safari trip, a motorcycle tour, a school visit, trips to the town local markets, and group lunches and dinners with local food.

Camp Cost

There will be payment available to cover the full price of the camp in installments, which we will make available shortly. If you are interested, you can go ahead and reserve your spot below.
**Refund Policy: Our camps sell out fast, once a person reserves their spot we immediately make all payments and arrangements in Kenya. Once we have 12 athletes signed up we close our reservation, leaving others without the opportunity to register and sign up. This is why we can't offer refunds after reservations and payments are made. However, if we have enough time we will try to find a replacement, in the case we do find it we will return the money, if not, no refunds can't be made.
